25 October @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm WAT
FreeEvent Details by @gasfoundation
Join us for the G.A.S. Library’s free screening of Ebrohimie Road: A Museum of Memory, a documentary produced by Kola Tubosun (@kolatubosun) and shot by veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani, at G.A.S. Lagos. This powerful film explores how a small campus bungalow at the University of Ibadan became a pivotal site in Nigeria’s history, where literary icon Wole Soyinka was arrested during the Civil War.
In line with our ongoing programme, Re:assemblages, the screening will be followed by a panel discussion where speakers will explore the film’s themes, including cultural heritage management in South West Nigeria, the role of architecture in the preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage, and the importance of archives and archival preservation for contemporary African arts.
